Food industry
In the food industry, stainless steel is widely used for its corrosion resistance, which is achieved by the formation of a passive chromium oxide layer on the surface. Stainless steel makes it possible to manufacture food fittings that are resistant to acidic or alkaline environments and compatible with many cleaning and disinfecting products.
The food industry is also very concerned with hygiene issues and the fight against micro-organisms, which can proliferate in the micro-cracks of pipes. With its smooth surface, stainless steel greatly limits the presence of mould and bacteria, and the maintenance of the installation is made easier.
We offer the sale of food fittings and stainless steel parts meeting DIN, SMS 1145, RJT and IDF standards, machined in 316 or 316L stainless steel, from the BEAL INOX production workshop in France.
